Write great emails. Or else people won't read them.

Posted on March 10, 2005 by Sarah Eaton.

This is my absolute worst email habit: I will start my thought in the subject line and then continue it in the first line, like so:

Subject: Are you available

Body of email: ...at 1:00 on Monday for lunch?  Because I heard about this really great place that just...etc., etc.

I know how annoying that is.  I am breaking myself of the habit.

Here's a great article I found via BoingBoing to help you write great emails that people will be able to read and comprehend quickly.  And then they'll get back to you more quickly.  And you'll be the most productive person on Earth.
